I read recently on the Femina blog of a just-before-Christmas-party-disaster involving powdered sugar and 3 small children. Today we had one of our own.
I was on the phone with my mom this morning, and one of the boys burst in with, “Mom, I pooped in my pants…” (in itself not a positive thing) “and the honey spilled on its side.” Me, “What?!!”
Raced into the kitchen and told my mom, still on the phone, “Mom, I’ve got to go – the honey is spilled all over the counter and Monica and Ezra are eating it like a couple of bears.”
Which is exactly what was happening. As I looked, Monica used a hand covered with honey to try to brush her hair out of her eyes.
Oh joy. Where do you go from here?!!

LOL! Sometimes I forget what it's like to live with little kids! Thanks for the story and the laugh
to the camera first. Clean up after.

One time Nathan and Johnny were playing a detective game and they took a stamp pad and made footprints (to follow with their magnifying glass, of course) around and around the island in the kitchen. Fortunately, I got pictures.
I second Teresa's comment…The messes they make when they are big just don't seem so endearing
Oh my!!! Hot showers all around?
Depending on my at-the-moment emotional state I would either laugh like crazy or cry like crazy

Thanks for the laugh, Elly! Sometimes it all goes to pieces at once, doesn’t it?
Thanks all – I’m glad you got a laugh! I knew it was funny, even as I gazed in dismay, but alas, no pictures!
