Last week Monica took her first steps. A few days later she started standing up all by herself. Judah and I were there when she did and we started clapping for her – so she stood there and clapped delightedly for herself for several seconds.

Also she says, “na-na-na” for me, “da-da” or sometimes “daddy” for dad, and she’ll even attempt Judah sometimes, though it comes out so garbled only a mother would know that was what she was trying to say. Her most frequent word is “Hi!” which she says all the time. She waves too, sometimes when she says it. If you wave at her (Hi or bye) she’ll wave back… in about 30 seconds. Most of the time, people are gone by the time she gets around to it… but I always see it.

Naturally, we all think she’s adorable.

Oh, wow! How exciting! Monica sounds adorable!\par
At this point I have to stare at my stomach to witness our daughter’s milestones, or at least to see them…she’s constantly reminding me that she’s in there by her movements. It is truly miraculous, but I can’t wait to actually see her and hold her in my arms!
