I thought for future reference that I should list the things that I’m currently involved in or working on. That way, when all of this has become a distant small-child fogged memory, I’ll be able to look back and think, “Oh, that’s right, I actually did do something other than childcare and rather unsuccessful home maintenance back when I had 3 little kids.” So here goes.\par

- I’m currently involved in a 5-person book group reading through the book lists given in The Well-Educated Mind.
- Another book group: reading Through New Eyes with good friend Mystie and posting weekly on her education forum.
- Make the communion bread for church approximately twice a quarter.
- Working on a jig-saw puzzle that I want to fix with puzzle glue, frame, and hang.
- In the beginning stages of a more-elaborate than usual sewing project involving a ribbon embroidered bodice on a toddler-sized dress for Monica. Want to finish it by March 20th for our church’s Winter Arts Festival. Possibly hopelessly behind.
- Always behind in scrapbooking.
- Dutch Blitz nights every other Monday, if the stars are aligned (husband home, in town, nothing else scheduled)
- Library story-time every Wednesday. This is for the kids, but hey, I have to get them there and back and watch the baby during, right? Besides, today I ran into Ana, a friend, so it was almost a social event – one of those fifteen minute social events where you are constantly interrupted and have to talk in whispers.
- Maybe 1-2 times a month my mother-in-law, Valerie, has a craft day for my kids. Also possibly a social event. (complete with constant interruptions, but fortunately no whispers)
- Sometimes we volunteer to host our church’s Third Sunday of the Month Fellowship meetings for a 3-4 month cycle. Probably we’ve done that an average of once a year. Had one last Sunday, which left the house mostly all picked up – nice!

Well, that doesn’t seem like that much, I suppose, but intermixed with all of this childraising stuff, I actually feel quite, quite busy. Not in search of new activities, in other words. Anyway, have a nice week!
