Monica is crawling!

Just so all of you fond grandparents and great-grandparents know, my little 7 1/2 month old is crawling! It’s amazing how fast it happened, really! One day she could only get up on her hands and knees and rock back and forward, and a few days later she’s exploring everything from 0 to 10 inches off the floor. Today I saw her pushing herself up on to her hands and feet – trying to bear-walk! And while I was doing the dishes she crawled over and pulled herself up on the open door of the dishwasher and held herself up on it. She was so impressed with herself for accomplishing this that she started literally quivering with excitement. I know, I know, fond mama speaking. It’s so wonderful how every baby’s accomplishments seem brand new, no matter how many times you’ve seen the same before.
