Funny Boys

The other night after devotions. Judah said that we were the good guys and Ezra replied,\par

“No, we are not good guys.. we are just boys!”\par

Judah is a city boy. I came out a few mornings ago to see him playing with cars. There was a line of cars a yard long, in two neat rows, bumper to bumper. Judah exclaimed, “they can’t go very fast – there’s traffic!!”\par

Last night at dinner Rose asked the boys whether they’d like to have a baby brother or sister next. Both boys agreed that they would like to have another sister. Ezra explained that that way they would both have a sister. Judah agreed:\par

“That way we wouldn’t have to fight over this one.”\par

So we asked what they’d want to name another sister. Apparently this is a difficult concept to grasp, but eventually Judah volunteered the name, “Levi.” Well, Levi is a boy’s name. OK, then, how about “Levi-Baby-Monica?”\par

Frequently I am surprised by Judah’s expanding vocabulary. This afternoon I had a friend over for lunch. Judah went to get some toys out of his room right after Ezra went to take a nap in there, and he came down the hall telling me, “Apparently, Ezra wants his door open, but I told him, he needed to have it closed.” He’s also made me chuckle with his use of the words “obnoxious,” “ridiculous” and “amusing.” (among others that I don’t remember)
