I just finished the 5th book in the Thursday Next series by Jasper Fforde. Seriously, if you like clever books and don’t object to alternate realities mixed with frequent references to books classical and otherwise, this is the series for you!\par

If, however, you prefer books where people shoot people just because they were really hot and it seemed like the thing to do at the time, perhaps you’d prefer The Stranger by Albert Camus.
