Judah and Ezra have never shared a room. It just hasn’t been necessary, and I’ve enjoyed having them in separate rooms so that they don’t wake each other up, don’t keep\’c3\’82\’c2\~ each other up, and have two separate\’c3\’82\’c2\~ places to go when I send them to their rooms when they get too fractious while I’m trying to cook dinner. But with only three rooms upstairs, one of them designated as the baby’s room, it was time for Ezra to move in with Judah. I wanted him to move before Baby Monica is born, so that he doesn’t associate his rude upheaval with “that baby” and we finally did it. The catalyst for this change was our reception yesterday of two matching construction truck bed-in-a-bag sets that were purchased with Christmas money from great-grandparents. Although neither of the boys were enthused about the idea before (Judah especially didn’t want to have to move out of the “bigger” bed – the one with rails – into the smaller one), the new bedding seemed to do the trick. They were so excited, and so enthused, that Judah volunteered to take a nap in the shorter bed yesterday “with Ezra” so that they would both be sleeping in the same room on the matching “spiffy sheets” as soon as possible. He couldn’t get to sleep and ended up not staying there, but still.. So last night was the inaugural night. And really, it went pretty well, even though Ezra had slept late during his nap and couldn’t go to sleep for an hour – Judah went to sleep in spite of him, and eventually Ezra settled down himself. And then Ezra woke up at 5:30 this morning. He woke Judah up too, and I was pretty worried they would keep each other awake – but, no, everything was fine, they went back to sleep right away. Then Judah woke up around 7:00 and Ezra continued to sleep for another half an hour anyway. Anyway, Ezra is taking his naps in the crib for now – since Judah can’t play with his toys in his room during quiet time if Ezra’s sleeping in there. Ezra was a little put out this afternoon that he couldn’t sleep in the “big bed” but he still went to sleep just fine.\par

That is cute! We finally got Jesse and Jared’s big boy beds set up this past weekend. Been on the to-do list for quite some time…you know how that is! They love their new “spiffy sheets” too. We have a cowboy theme going on. They look so little again to me as I see them in their new beds. Funny how one day they seemed so grown up and then to see them in the bigger beds now, they seem so small in comparison to the bed! LOL! Anyway, changes going on here too. So fun to watch them grow up isn’t it!
