Tax Season #6

Yes, we are officially starting tax season today. Michael could wait until the middle of January or so to start working a lot, but he’s trying to get ahead so that he can have more of a routine throughout tax season rather than working a lot in the beginning and middle and a whole ton at the end. So he’s going to try to get up at 4:00 and get home by 7:00, starting today. (although today I think he got up at 4:30 instead, since we went out to eat last night for the last time until the end of tax season, so we didn’t get to bed until later) Since he’ll need to get to bed by 9:00 at the latest, I’m trying to get up at 6:00 so that I can go to bed at the same time, and actually be able to get to sleep. So today is the first day. I did get up at 6:00. The day already seems kind of long. But we’ll see how it goes!\par

  • I hope you figure out a good routine that will make tax season a little easier. By getting up at 6 do you get time by yourself before the boys get up? I think that’s what makes getting up early worth it, although it’s still difficult! :)

I don’t know about Easier.. but probably more Productive! :-) Yes, if I get up at 6:00 I have about an hour before the boys are up – which is delightful!! I just haven’t figured out quite what I want to do with it yet!
