Lazy Saturdays..

Saturdays tend to be anything but lazy days for me. With the exception of Sundays, they’re probably the days I work the hardest! I know that sounds all backwards, but Saturday is when I make church food, in addition to my regular 3 meals a day, Michael’s home (sometimes), so we have more activities during the day as well, and sometimes we have family dinners at his parents, as we did today! So I made french bread (which I started a pre-ferment for yesterday), no-knead sourdough bread (started last night), tatertot casserole, and rigatoni sauce, all before scrambling to get out of the house by 3:20 – more like 3:40, actually – bringing the still cooling french and sourdough loaves with me.\’c3\’82\’c2\~:-) When we got home from the dinner I had to portion out the rigatoni and clean up the still messy kitchen then pack up the church dishes, so our morning goes more smoothly tomorrow.\’c3\’82\’c2\~ I look forward to Mondays when I can take a rest and just do laundry all day long! :-) But it’s 10:30 at night and I’m blogging, so I guess I can’t be too busy, huh?

  • Heh, I always snort in disbelief when someone talks about a ‘relaxing weekend’. I don’t know if I just don’t organize my life very well or what, but Saturdays are one of my busiest days and Sundays are often anything but a day of rest. I’m sure with kiddos it’s just going to get busier! :-)

  • No kidding! Saturdays are my craziest too.
