Ezra turned 2 last week! He’s turning into such a little boy, just like his big brother. He talks a lot more than Judah did at this age, which has been fun. Lately he’s cracked me up by saying “OOoohhhhhh” with a great deal of implied comprehension, as if he’d just realized the full import of what you were saying and was duly impressed. “S at?”\’c3\’82\’c2\~ “That is a back-hoe.” “Oooohhhh!” He’s still cheerful and charming, though his little sin nature is definitely showing it’s ugly face more often. Recalcitrance, sulkiness, stubborness, and an impish delight in plaguing his older brother have all been obvious more and more in the last few months. But he and Judah are very fond of each other, and miss each other when the other is napping or otherwise unavailable. Lately they’ve taken to wrestling, and it’s a good thing that they’re nearly the same size! Ezra’s slower than his big brother, but I don’t think Judah’s more than\’c3\’82\’c2\~6 pounds heavier than him, so they can roll around on the floor and giggle (until someone gets hurt) without Ezra being horribly outclassed.\par

We had a family birthday party for Ezra on Saturday and Michael’s family and his Grandpa Len came for the event. It wasn’t particularly fancy, though I did spend two days working on it – tidying, cooking, ironing, arranging, planning, etc. We had spaghetti and homemade french bread, and a cranberry jello ring, and a green salad from Valerie, with a Black Magic chocolate cake frosted with chocolate buttercream frosting and decorated with M&Ms for dessert. (that last was mostly for my future records) Let’s see if I can put some birthday pictures up:\par

\’c3\’82\’c2\~Ezra really liked the baloons. Michael reported that he played the “try to keep the baloon off the ground game” with him for about 20 minutes on Saturday! Judah’s attire… well, they say the button-down shirt with swim shorts look is coming in, right?…\par
