Song in my Head

Yesteday I started singing a song as we were finishing dinner. Remembering that I’ve instructed Judah “sing at the table, whistle in bed, and the devil will get you before your dead” I stopped and said, “Oh, Mommy’s not supposed to sing at the table, is she!” Or something like that. But then Judah asked me if I could get a song in my head. I thought maybe he meant “frown” rather than song, because he then proceeded to make all sorts of funny wrinkling movements with his forehead and eyes. No, he really\’c3\’82\’c2\~meant “song” and he was attempting to demonstrate the action of “getting a song stuck in your head!”\par

It kind of makes you wonder what other phrases they take literally, doesn’t it?
