Well, well. I haven’t blogged now for a LONG time! I don’t feel the juice flowing to write a lengthy description of the last few weeks, either, so I’ll try to keep this brief.\par

  • We had old friends, Isaac and Lydia, and their two children stay with us for four days before Family Camp a couple weeks ago. They weren’t actually at our house much, but when they were it was fun, and just like old times (plus 4 small children!)

  • Family Camp was great! We stayed with my folks, who graciously offered to stay in nights so that we could go out and be the social butterflies you know we are (ha-ha). We had a good time. The boys enjoyed waking up at the beachhouse and going upstairs and hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa every morning for a little while before breakfast. The weather was great – there was some sun every day! I played Dutch Blitz two evenings, Michael played poker one, and we went to the Campfire another time.

  • My birthday was last Sunday. Since it was the day after Family Camp we were disinclined to do anything that day. However, Michael made shortcake (by himself!), which turned out great and we had it with strawberries and whippied cream… yes. Strawberry Shortcake. Then I opened my presents, and I think we went for a pleasant walk and watched half of The Mask of Zorro in the evening with the boys while eating popcorn. Then on Friday Michael took me out to dinner while Aunt Rose babysat the boys. We went to a work social for a little while, then out to Porto Terra for dinner, then we walked along the Portland waterfront, and\’c3\’82\’c2\~finally we\’c3\’82\’c2\~went and saw the new Fantastic Four movie at the theatre in our town. It was a pleasant evening.

  • We went to a wedding yesterday. It was a beautiful wedding in a beautiful church, but since we drove an hour and a half to get there, it was difficult to keep the boys sitting still and quiet during the church service and the reception.\’c3\’82\’c2\~ But we wish the newlyweds well!
