The Bread Season is Drawing to a Close

Yes, it’s true. In fact, the sad note for the day today is that I am unable to complete the Old Milwaukie Rye Bread that I was going to attempt this afternoon. It’s too hot. I had made the sponge on Monday, planning on making the dough and baking it today, but since Donna and Sandy are bringing pizza, I don’t really need bread to go with dinner and I don’t want it to be miserably warm upstairs. But I put the sponge in the freezer, so maybe I’ll get up early sometime soon and bake make the bread before it gets hot in the morning!
