The sick baby is no longer sick – now he’s healthy and boasting two new teeth! Connection? Probably. I think that at least explains his extreme tiredness and sleepiness over the weekend. If only I had known he was sleeping so much because he was in pain – I would’ve dosed him with tylenol or ibuprofen.
Oh well, he’s back to his hungry, happy self.\par

Judah is his normal self as well. He communicates more and more every day. Today I asked him if he was a cowboy (because he was wearing a hat vaguely reminiscent of a cowboy hat) and he seriously replied. “No, I not a cowboy, Mommy,\’c3\’82\’c2\~I a Judah.”\par

I had explained to him that Daddy was going to give a speech tonight, and unable to think of anything else to compare it to, I told him that he was going to be like Pastor Tuuri and give a talk to a bunch of people. But when he was talking to his dad on the phone this afternoon, Michael thought he was saying that he (Michael) would go to church tonight and talk to Pastor Tuuri. When he said he wasn’t, Judah quite emphatically told him that he was going to talk with (or to) Pastor Tuuri because “Mommy said!” He wasn’t going to back down on the point at all.\par

And last night when I gave the boys a bath, before he got in Judah looked me in the eyes and said quite distinctly: “You don’t have to wash my hair, Mommy – my hair is nice and clean.”\par

I just got “The Dirty Cowboy” off of Amazon on a friend’s recommendation. Judah has asked for it several times and seems to be quite enthused about it. The artwork is hilarious and I enjoy reading it in a fake Southern accent!\par

Got to go – the boys are running amok!\par

Your Grandpa Ray had a favorite story about “Mom says”, too. It was part of the vernacular in our household.
