We went to our annual Christmas program tonight. Judah was slated to perform “Away in a Manger” with the other 2 and 3 year olds in his Sunday school class, and I frequently said that I would be dumbfounded if he actually went up onstage and didn’t bolt. Well, I’m dumbfounded, astounded, and all that! I don’t think he actually sang, which is a pity, since he actually knows the song pretty well, but he stood up in front exactly like he was supposed to and didn’t dissolve!
Here is a picture of he and his Sunday school class in their choir robes created by their teacher, Mrs. K.\par

Judah was quietly proud of his achievement and enthusiastic about the table full of cookies awaiting the performers and audience alike. He particularly liked the cookies I brought – green food-coloring and marshmallow covered “holly wreath” cornflake cookies with cinnamon candies for “berries.” He didn’t particularly like the cinnamon candies, though. Michael tells me he\’c3\’82\’c2\~found him standing at the serving table carefully picking the cimmanon drops off his chosen cookie and\’c3\’82\’c2\~placing them\’c3\’82\’c2\~onto the others on the plate.\par

On a different note, I went to see Stranger than Fiction yesterday with my sister-in-law, Angela. It was great! I particularly like the interaction of the main character with a literature professor (played by Dustin Hoffman), and the endless stereotyping and poking fun at IRS Auditors and their ilk (i.e. accountants). I think my English major friends..er, friend,\’c3\’82\’c2\~would really like it. And I’ll make sure my CPA husband gets to see it, too!

The kids look so cute!
