I haven’t written much lately! That’s because we’ve been very busy, yet not on things that I immediately want to write about. I think that’s why, anyway.\par

Right now I am printing out address labels for our Christmas cards. It’s a big job getting Christmas cards out, especially if you decide to make your own, which inevitably ends up taking me 6 times longer than I thought it would! Also, since I’m making my own, the envelopes I’m using are too small to print on my printer, so I had to buy some address labels and now that I’ve printed them out (it worked, praise the Lord!) I have to peel them off and stick them to envelopes. But it sure beats writing them by hand! Right? I hope so, anyway, because I’m awfully proud of myself for remembering how to use Mail Merge from my experiment with it from last year! It was much smoother this time, too! And I have at least a 5 year’s supply of labels now so….\par

Judah’s birthday party was on Sunday! It went so well, there’s nothing much to write about it!
That is, there were no disasters. The food turned out, the guests showed up (it was a “family party” – Michael’s family came), and Judah had a blast. Last year we had to urge him on after ever present, but this year we had to remind him to thank the giver before attacking the next present! He’s certainly figured out the whole presents deal! Uncle Zane was cute, too – he wanted Judah to open the present from himself\’c3\’82\’c2\~right away so that “then we can play wiz it!” And they did. We’ve been eating chocolate cake and pecan pie for 4 days now.\par

For those of you who know of our plumbing debacle in September it will come as no surprise that my kitchen sink clogged up on Monday, which required the professional expertise of a Rotorooter employee named Josh. He was very nice, and I was glad it was a flat fee because (naturally) it took longer than he anticipated and he had to go get the bigger machine. Our plumbing problems are seldom simple. I did pour hair-clog remover down the bathroom sink this evening though and that seemed to help the drain slowing in there. Which is good, because if I have to pay another $145.75 to have somebody unclog another drain right away… I won’t be happy about it.\par

I think Ezra is teething perhaps, because he’s somewhat off his food, and he’s been chronically fussy. Tylenol seems to make him feel better (and sleepy!). I hope so, because he only has 6 teeth, and I’d feel more comfortable feeding him harder teeth if he had closer to a full complement! He’s being awfully adorable lately – “talking” back when I ask him questions, “singing” with big brother, dancing whenever he hears a tune, making truck noises when he plays with his cars, and exhibiting great pride whenever he sits on the couch by himself (instead of on someone’s lap) just like Big Brother.\’c3\’82\’c2\~ Today he gave me a kiss!\par

Well, on that note, I think I’ll start peeling labels and putting them on envelopes!\par
