Finally Grown Up

I bought a bottle of wine at our local grocery store today, and for the first time that I remember, I wasn’t carded! (Keep in mind, I’m not sure I’ve bought a bottle of wine in the last year)\par

Either the clerk was feeling lazy, I now look over 28 or 29 (that’s the criteria for carding, isn’t it?) or\’c3\’82\’c2\~people just assume that a mother dragging..er, escorting two little ones must be over 21. Or perhaps the clerk thought letting a young mother of two buy alcohol was an act of mercy?
