Dance ‘Til You Drop

No, not really. We did go to the King’s Academy Dance Marathon this morning though, and we did dance for an hour and a half without breaks, which was quite enough for us. More importantly, it was quite enough for Ezra who decided that going back to a babysitter after the 10 minute break at 11:00 was not going to be OK, and effectively ended our dancing time. But that’s alright… we weren’t doing it very officially as we hadn’t gotten much in the way of pledges and they were both lump sum vague sorts of ones, anyway. It was fun to see all of those young kids dancing their hearts out – some of them really know how to jive (is that the right term?) Yes – I have come to the conclusion that I just don’t have the rhythm in my soul, and my swing dancing will always be stunted, as a result. Oh well. There are other things more important, I suppose.\par

Oh, just a funny note: We have a CD by Anne Murray called “Hippo in the Bathtub” which I very much enjoy as I used to listen to it when I was little. Judah likes it too, and apparently has decided that the singer is “Bama Rachel.”\’c3\’82\’c2\~I hadn’t played it recently, but when I put it in earlier this week he said “Bama Rachel!” when it started playing. And in fact, this morning he requested a CD and suggested the “Bama Rachel” one. I don’t know if this is just because Anne Murray sounds like Grandma Rachel to him, or if he thinks that all Grandma’s have CDs, as a result of his Grandma Valerie having made a CD a few years ago that we listen to from time to time. I don’t know, but I thought Mom would get a kick out of that! :-)
