Much to my surprise, Michael signed he and I up as a dance couple for the 12 Hour Dance Marathon that the young people of King’s Academy are putting on as a fund-raiser for their school. (King’s Academy is a grade 8-11 Christian private school that is held at our church – Michael’s sister is the full-time teacher and Michael the treasurer on the board) Apparently the idea is that we get pledges from people (so much for every 1/2 hour or just a lump sum donation) and then try to dance for 12 hours with breaks every hour and a half and longer breaks for lunch and dinner. I told him that at least this way I would get to dance with him once this year! We’re not quite sure what we’re going to do about the boys though… I doubt that we’ll be able to leave them in somebody else’s care for 12 hours!! Anyway, any and all denominations of pledges would be greatly appreciated! I guess the reward from pledging is that you get to come and watch a bunch of teenagers and young marries like us try to stay moving on their feet for as long as possible!

Wow! I’m jealous.
I don’t think I’d be able to do it, but it does sound like a lot of fun!
Yeah, I hope so. I’ve left the babysitting issue up to Michael and so far I don’t think he’s arranged it yet, and as we have no pledges so far, it might not happen after all. I hope it does, though!
