\’c3\’82\’c2\~We went and picked 15 pounds of strawberries this morning. I set Ezra on a blanket in the field and handed him a few strawberries from time to time. He was a site to behold – I forgot to bring a camera though, so I didn’t get a picture of him in his full berrie-smeared glory. [...] It’s so easy to take ourselves too seriously. I was doing a thought experiment today in the shower (a fertile time for my imagination). I was thinking about how we will all be so easily forgotten. First I thought about people in history. How many names are even remembered, let alone remembered with any attached details, [...] We’re back from Family Camp (got back last Saturday, but I didn’t get back to blogging right away)! It was a fun week, but tiring – which is par for the course at Family Camp, but leaves one feeling rather drained for the next few days, especially Sunday. I have pictures that I’ll probably post in [...] Family Camp starts on Sunday night! I’m very excited and doing all of the laundry today so that I can do the final packing tomorrow. I’m glad we decided not to try to go to the Rose Parade – that would’ve been too much!\par My mother told me once that\’c3\’82\’c2\~the things that you worry about seldom happen – and the disasters that do happen are things you hadn’t even thought about! So why worry in the [...] Geste at Home #5:\par \par I read Cheaper by the Dozen recently and enjoyed it – it wasn’t quite as funny as I had been expecting it to be (I confess, I found the father a little irritating), but all of the large family logistics were quite interesting and some of the stories are hilarious! I particularly liked this section where [...] That’s the refrain going on next to me on the TV. I have to say, I always had a strong affection for Winnie the Pooh and am glad that Judah wanted to watch it this afternoon while I finished up the cards and gifts for the graduation this evening. Yes, I made cards for the graduation. [...] |
