You might want to take him to the doctor. Sounds like he’s got a ‘ph’ problem.\par
Yes, he can say the “ss” sound just fine, but apparently has problems working it into words. He says “Pham” for Sam sometimes too. Oh, and I forgot to include “Bampa Mite” in the list – he was bouncing on the bed singing about Grandpa Mike the other day! Oh and “Bombom” for bottom.
