Geste at Home #2:\par At our prayer meetings, people frequently report an answer to a previous prayer with the phrase “I have a praise.” So I would like to relate a recent answer to a prayer of mine. The incident was.. well, incidental, the eternal consequences were minor, but boy, was the prayer fervent!\par \’c3\’82\’c2\~The other day I put Judah on a blanket on the kitchen floor and told him to stay on the blanket and play with toys quietly while I tried to work in the kitchen. He hates this, but he has mostly learned to submit to the rule. He found a loophole though, because when I looked [...] Yesterday was a bit of a valley. That is, in the sense that it was a rather low point in the week. At least, I sure hope it was the low point of the week and that the rest of it will be much better!\’c3\’82\’c2\~Judah caught a cold early last week and\’c3\’82\’c2\~Ezra and I came down with it on Saturday. Sunday we went\’c3\’82\’c2\~to church, though we probably shouldn’t have. But we started out Monday fairly well, considering our health. The kitchen was relatively clean and the schedule unhurried – it promised to be another regular Monday.\par Last night I watched Revenge of the Sith on DVD while Michael was out at a meeting. I’m working on a Christmas present for a family member so I don’t feel too bad sitting and watching a movie while I do it. Since Judah woke up extra early this morning at 6:00, he has knocked over a vase of flowers (and water of course), scattered and thrown a small bowl of cereal all over the kitchen, mashed crackers onto the underside of the table mats (folded in half to let the underside dry after the previous water spill), [...] Mystie suggested a game of tag oriented toward home management, the goal\’c3\’82\’c2\~being to share ideas or at least get a feel for how others manage their homes. \’c3\’82\’c2\~Her first question was:\par

Nothing [...] The instructions on the box of rice cereal I bought for Ezra clearly state that one should discard the “unused portion” of the bowl when finished with a meal. Does anybody know what possible harm could come from wrapping some plastic wrap over the bowl and putting it into the refrigerator until the next meal? I’m [...] I put Ezra in the exersaucer yesterday and went down the hall to tend to something. When I returned, Judah started guiltily and I realized that he had gotten the bowl of rice cereal\’c3\’82\’c2\~off of the table and was busily spooning it into (or mostly into) Ezra’s mouth. Ezra had cereal all over his face and [...] Judah feeds ducks at Clackamette Park\par For those more savvy than I..\par For those who are interested…\par I heard dripping today as I passed the top of the stairs. So I put the baby down under a toy and ran downstairs to find the source of the noise. Oh, joy, oh, bliss, there was water dripping rapidly out of the ceiling in the basement bathroom. The ceiling was flat except for a funnel [...] Yesterday we made a day-trip to my friend Meghan’s house in Olympia. We had a good time, although with 5 kids (4 boys and one girl) between the two of us, all under 4, it was a little chaotic and not quite so easy to visit as it was 5 years ago when we were getting [...] Mystie suggested that I blog about the way I ended up at U of I. This is my second time seeing it – the first time I saw it at the theatre with my brother Sam and my sister KD. It was definitely the best of the prequels, and I almost liked it better the second time around. I think maybe on the small screen the lines that came across kind of flat weren’t quite so embarrassing.
