\’c3\’82\’c2\~I have a few dilemmas regarding this blog.\’c3\’82\’c2\~\par
\par
I do not know, really, how one goes about starting a blog. Is it appropriate to email your friends (the ones whose blogs you read) and tell them that you have your own blog now? Isn’t that rather like tooting one’s own horn? On the other hand, won’t my blog be a little lonely sitting in cyberspace all by itself with no visitors – since nobody would ever find it for any other reason?\par
\par
Plus – it’s harder than I thought to come up with comments to post. After all, I want to sound intelligent and insightful, and I’m not really sure I have it in me – especially with “Winnie-the-Pooh” playing in the background, making adult thought rather difficult. Mostly I think things like “Then bounce down” and “Oh, bother” and such.\par
\par
And then, what topics should one write about? A blog is like a diary – except that it’s where the entire world could see it, should they want to. So that eliminates a lot of topics. And then, part of the point is to write things that other people might potentially be interested in – which eliminates more still.\’c3\’82\’c2\~But mostly, it seems to me that\’c3\’82\’c2\~a blog is rather like an email that one writes and sends to all of one’s friends, without the niggling guilt about\’c3\’82\’c2\~sending individual emails to each so that they feel special.\’c3\’82\’c2\~ After all – there’s no pretense of individual attention with a blog, right? And people only read your blog if they want to, so it’s not spam to a busy person. So there you have it – my philosophy of blogging.

\’c3\’82\’c2\~Welcome and my thanks to anybody who stops by!

Yay!

…And pictures, pictures of amusing boys are always good, too…I have some waiting on my camera, but it’ll have to wait. \par
If I write the education series (ha, ha), then I’ll leave the courtship series to you.
\par
Yes, I agree with your blogging philosophy. For us is not the deep thoughts, but the tales of amusing boys.
\par
You could post an explanation of your title, too, perhaps when Pooh is off.
Hey there! I traced you back on my counter.
\par
\par
It’s fine to tell people you have one, but don’t feel too bad if the people you know in real life never comment. Some people read blogs, but much less comment. I get about 35 hits a day, but only a couple people comment.\par
\par
The best way to get folks over is to leave comments at the blogs you like and leave your web address w/your name and people will follow you back. Eventually you get to know a person ar two and it ends up being more of a conversation. But it does take a little while. If you get a counter it is a little more encouraging because you know even if nobody commented they were there to read it. If you click on the counter @ my site it will take you where you can sign up.\par
\par
As to entries, just write about the stuff you like to think about! Not everything you write will be interesting to everybody, but then, if it’s interesting to you, it will most likely be interesting to somebody else! Sometimes my most uninteresting posts (to me) get the most comments. \par
\par
But most of all, just relax and have fun. It’s just for fun.\par
\par
I’ll link ya-See you Sunday!
Yay, Elly! You have a fine philosophy of blogging. I hesitated for a long time because I didn’t think I had anything to write about either. But people do want to hear about your life – like Ezra learning to crawl, your sleepless night, all the laundry you did after everyone in the house puked, etc. lol!! And adding a picture now and then brings it all to life,

I have added you to my Newsgator account so I’ll be visiting when you have a new post.
Here to say hi and to encourage a new blogger. Ive been blogging for two and a half years and its fun stuff. My best advice for getting started is to leave comments with your blog address everywhere you go in the blogosphere. Leaving and returning comments is the polite thing to do as a bloggers and most blogs you write on will heed the rule! LOL Hang in there. And happy blogging.
OOPs left the wrong address to my blog. If you click on my name on this comment it will take you to the correct blog. sorry
Welcome to the Blogosphere. I’ve only been blogging for a little over a month – and it’s fun! Drop over and “visit” sometime
Wow! Thank you all for stopping by! Now I’m really encouraged.
And I shall have to learn to be a more polite blogger.
Welcome to blogging! Kerri gave you great advice…just visit and comment on others blogs and they will begin to visit you back. \par
\par
It takes awhile to find your voice, I think…but keep it up and pretty soon you’ll discover the things you really want to say, and your blog will begin to have its own feel.\par
\par
You’re off to a good start – it took me months to get my first comment!
